Finance Manager

Finance Manager opportunity - can be based out of Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL

Finance Manager will support a confidential multi‑company organization with 20 operating companies across Wisconsin, Illinois, and Ohio.

Build scalable financial infrastructure, serve as a strategic business partner, and lead accounting and financial processes across the organization.

Transform the finance function of a regional platform, working closely with a Regional FP&A leader to enable faster, better‑informed business decisions.

Make measurable impact within a growing organization that values data‑driven decision making, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Own the accounting infrastructure across 20 operating companies and ensure accurate, timely, and consistent financial reporting.

• Lead monthly financial close activities across all operating companies while maintaining an efficient five‑business‑day close process
• Own the accounting administration and optimization of Service Titan and Sage Intacct
• Ensure accurate general ledger management, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
• Develop and maintain standardized job costing and revenue recognition practices
• Manage pricing cost structures, labor costing, inventory accounting, and profitability reporting
• Lead audit preparation, tax compliance, internal controls, and regulatory reporting
• Partner with external audit and tax advisors
• Oversee treasury activities, cash management, and balance sheet integrity
• Lead accounting integration efforts for newly acquired businesses
• Develop and mentor regional accounting managers while building organizational capability
• Partner with General Managers and Regional Directors to provide trusted financial guidance and reporting support

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
• Progressive accounting leadership experience in a multi‑entity environment
• Experience leading month‑end close, consolidations, and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes
• Experience managing and developing accounting teams
• Demonstrated success improving financial processes and systems
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to operational leaders
• Experience supporting acquisitions or multi‑location organizations is highly desirable
• Experience with Service Titan, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP and operational platforms is a significant advantage
