Controller ​/ Director of Finance

The Controller / Director of Finance will lead financial operations and serve as a core financial advisor to executive leadership for a growing $15M multi-entity enterprise
. This role manages day-to-day accounting functions and a team of 3–4 accounting professionals
, while actively shaping long-term financial strategy, capital allocation, cash forecasting, and operational profitability.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategic & Financial Leadership: Participate in executive management meetings, evaluate capital allocation initiatives, model ROI for capital investments, and deliver forward-looking financial projections.
• Financial Management & Close: Direct all month-end and year-end closing processes, maintaining strict GAAP compliance across multi-entity operations.
• System & Process Management: Oversee and optimize accounting workflows within Net Suite and Quick Books environments.
• Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and elevate 3–4 accounting professionals overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and billing functions.
• Tax & Compliance Oversight: Manage state and federal compliance, multi-jurisdiction sales/use tax returns, and serve as the main point of contact for external CPA and audit teams.
• Treasury & Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, analyze variance reports, and maintain dynamic multi-week cash flow models.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; CPA or Master of Accountancy preferred.
• Experience: 5–8+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.

  Strong proficiency in Net Suite and Quick Books required; advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, data evaluation).
• Leadership Capabilities: Proven success leading direct reports, presenting to executive teams, and bridging operational accounting with business strategy.
