This position is clerical support to the Parenting program. This is not an instructor position.

Qualifications

Associate or bachelor’s degree, with clerical experience. Basic knowledge of social services with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work with others. Will consider high school education with demonstrated experience.

Classification

Part time non-exempt, 20 to 24 hours per week, flexible schedule as long program needs are met

Reports To

Parent Educator Coordinator

Summary

Responsibilities provide essential clerical support to the Parenting Education Program team, ensuring smooth operation in managing case documentation and related tasks. This role involves organizing and filing documentation, coordinating class schedules, and performing various clerical functions to aid workers in delivering effective support to families involved in the child welfare system or court through the Parenting Education Program.

Duties
  • Assist Parenting staff with scheduling appointments, meetings, and follow-ups.
  • Organize and maintain accurate case files, record keeping, and filing documentation.
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and correspondence related to the program.
  • Enter and update client information in database.
  • Generate reports and summaries as needed for quarterly review.
  • Maintain Monthly Billing Spreadsheet.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, families, and service providers.
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating case-related events and activities.
  • Order and manage office supplies and equipment necessary for casework.
  • Provide general support to the team, including organizing files and managing office logistics.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Office 365 software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, Teams, etc.).

  • Confidentiality, ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
