The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and energetic individual to serve as Regional Office Receptionist. This position will perform complex clerical services for professional staff in the assigned office, answer phones, and greet visitors. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and strong communication abilities.
Essential Functions- Serve as Regional Office Receptionist
- Answer all incoming calls and screen callers to determine the nature of request, many of which may be hostile
- Greet visitors and direct walk‑ins to appropriate offices and resources
- Order and distribute forms from Central Stores
- Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
- High school completion or equivalent to demonstrate knowledge, skill, and mental development
- Two years of office experience
- Keyboard accuracy of 45 words per minute
- Pass a background check
