Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Trade Compliance Manager based in the Greater Chicago Area, with the flexibility to work primarily remote. The Trade Compliance Manager will develop, implement, and oversee the organization’s trade compliance policies to ensure compliance with government regulations. Key responsibilities include managing customs valuation processes, ensuring adherence to import and export compliance standards, and identifying opportunities for utilizing free trade agreements.

The role will collaborate cross-functionally to optimize trade processes and mitigate risks, contributing to the organization’s global operations.

Qualifications
  • Experience in Customs Valuation and an understanding of its application in trade processes
  • Strong knowledge of Trade Compliance standards and regulations
  • Familiarity with Customs Brokerage and Import/Export Compliance procedures
  • Experience working with Duty Drawback, Free Trade Agreements and associated documentation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Proficiency in communication and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing or packaging industry is a plus
