This internship provides a unique opportunity to work alongside engineers to advance our AI-Powered Process Automation platform.

McLean, Virginia

Engagement:
Full-time (40 hours/week) for a 10-week summer program

Team:
Product Management

What you'll do
  • Take charge of the Agile Backlog by serving as the product owner for a talented engineering team, managing the prioritization of features and planning for sprints.
  • Encourage teamwork through the exchange of innovative ideas, thorough analysis of technical specifications, and gathering feedback during design discussions and UX evaluations.
  • Work closely with senior product managers to develop structured roadmaps for enterprise software, ensuring a balance between strategic investments and rapid feature deployment.
  • Navigate negotiations with stakeholders by comprehending varying demands and developer constraints, employing data-driven approaches to achieve effective compromises.
  • Assess the effects of product launches by tracking usability metrics and user success indicators to confirm that new features align with customer expectations.
  • Participate in creative problem-solving initiatives during departmental Hackathons and create distinctive prototypes during designated Engineering Indie Time.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and user needs that can inform product development and enhancements.
  • Support the documentation of product requirements and specifications to ensure clarity and alignment among team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders to communicate product vision and progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and enhancements into existing products.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities to enhance your skills and contribute effectively to the team.
Requirements
  • Education:

    Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, with a strong academic record. Candidates must plan to return to their studies following the Summer 2027 internship.
  • Program Availability:
    Must be available for a full-time commitment throughout the entire 10-week summer internship period.
  • Proven understanding of AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), including both strategic development and practical application of AI tools to improve workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
Nice to have
  • Previous experience in a technical internship or a portfolio that highlights significant personal or academic projects related to product management or software development.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and software, such as JIRA or Trello.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages or software development processes.
Skills & tools
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Understanding of user experience design principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and stakeholder management techniques.

Compensation and benefits

The internship offers a competitive compensation rate of $50.00 per hour, amounting to approximately $8,666 per month. Compensation and benefits may be subject to change in accordance with applicable plans.
