The Rockford Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Section Cello player, with auditions scheduled for Thursday, October 22, 2026, at the Coronado Theatre. Interested candidates must submit their applications by Thursday, October 1, 2026. The orchestra is located about 1½ hours from downtown Chicago and offers around 35 services each season.
Musicians will be compensated at a rate of $100.00 per service, with additional travel stipends available for those living more than 30 miles from any RSO venue, capped at $55 per service. The orchestra is represented by the Chicago Federation of Musicians, Local 10-208, which is part of the American Federation of Musicians.
