As a Locum MD in Anesthesiology, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality anesthetic care and support during surgeries. This position is ideal for an associate-level medical professional looking to expand their experience in a specialized field while making a meaningful impact on patient outcomes.

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure optimal patient care
• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and consultations
• Provide post-anesthesia care and support to patients
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Stay current with advancements in anesthesiology and best practices
• Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions

• Medical Doctor (MD) degree with specialization in Anesthesiology
• Current and valid medical license to practice in the state of Illinois
• Experience in Cardiac Anesthesiology preferred
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols
• Excellent patient assessment and monitoring skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

Schedule:

24-hour call shifts

Bread & butter cardiac cases (CABG, AVR, mitral valves, occasional aortic dissections, and occasional aortic cases)

Must be skilled with thoracic anesthesia
