Job SummaryTeach courses in the Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Medical Assistant Program, delivering instruction that meets program requirements and supports student learning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Current credential in good standing as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- Minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in a healthcare setting, including at least 160 hours in ambulatory care
- Demonstrated proficiency in instruction, curriculum delivery, evaluation, and program planning
- Experience in instruction of educational theory and techniques
- One year teaching experience in post-secondary and/or vocational/technical education
- Commitment to the success of the Medical Assistant program.
- Ability to stand, demonstrate skills, and lecture for extended periods as required by instructional duties.
- A commitment to education and a willingness to teach a range of courses within the Medical Assistant Program.
- Prepare and deliver instruction for 21st century learners and assessing student learning outcomes as appropriate to ensure academic quality.
- Serve as an engaged learning facilitator who contributes to the College's mission and strategic goals
- Support student success through instructional excellence and professional collaboration
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a classroom, office, clinic, and lab setting.
