Elementary Teacher

About The Position

Birch Agency is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary Teachers (grades 3rd-5th) to support students in a school-based setting in Rockford, IL for the 2026-27 school year.

• Deliver engaging instruction aligned with state standards
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and differentiated learning activities
• Support reading comprehension, writing development, grammar, and vocabulary
• Collaborate with grade-level team members, administrators, and support staff
• Maintain accurate student records, progress monitoring, and classroom documentation
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
• Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate endorsement for the position.
• Previous classroom teaching experience preferred
• Strong instructional, communication, and classroom management skills
• Ability to support diverse learners and adapt instruction as needed
