Overview
Bright Horizons is hiring Full‑time Teachers for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The role involves creating developmentally appropriate activities, communicating parent milestones, maintaining a safe classroom, and providing coverage across age groups as needed.
Responsibilities- Create hands‑on activities to meet children’s needs and interests.
- Maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones.
- Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following procedures and guidelines.
- Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed.
- Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
- Early‑education coursework or CDA required.
- Preferred: 1 year of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool, and/or a CDA, Associate, or Bachelor’s degree in early education or related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) for children.
- Must meet State of Illinois Teacher Qualified requirements:
- 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of college credit with 6 semester or 9 quarter hours in child‑care courses OR
- 1 year (1560 clock hours) child‑development experience plus 30 semester hours with 6 semester or 9 quarter hours in child‑care courses OR
- Completion of CDA credential program approved by the Department.
- Frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10–40 pounds; occasionally more than 40 pounds.
- Full range of motion for lifting, reaching, squatting, climbing, and other activities.
- Respond immediately and appropriately to emergencies.
- Maintain mental and physical alertness and sufficient energy for essential job requirements.

CompensationHourly rate $18.50 – $22.60, with actual offer based on experience, education, certifications, geography, and other factors.
