Job Description

Minimum 1+ years special education experience required.

We are currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Special Education Teacher to partner with us for the uping school year. This is an excellent opportunity near Northbrook, IL, for an experienced professional who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of students with special needs populations within the public school system!

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs, ensuring they receive appropriate support and acmodations
• Deliver instruction tailored to the unique learning styles and abilities of each student
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents/guardians to create a collaborative and inclusive learning environment
• Monitor student progress, conduct assessments, and maintain accurate records of student performance
• Employ a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote their academic, social, and emotional growth
• Foster a positive and supportive classroom climate that values diversity and respects the individuality of each student
• Provide guidance and support to students in developing essential life skills and promoting independence
• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and parent-teacher conferences as required

• Possession of valid or pending Arizona teaching credentials for Special Education
• Proven experience working as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in a similar educational setting
• Strong knowledge of special education principles, strategies, and best practices
• Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to design and implement appropriate interventions
• Excellent munication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs
• Organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate student records and documentation
