Adult Services Programming Librarian

This is a Full-Time, Salaried/Exempt Position
- Schedule:

37.5 hours a week, in person, with one evening a week, and weekend availability. This individual reports to our Adult Services Manager.

We are looking for a dynamic Adult Services Programming Librarian who will design, implement, and facilitate engaging programs to meet the educational and cultural interests and needs of the adult community.

• Develops and implements a comprehensive programming schedule for adult audiences in collaboration with other adult programming staff.
• Creates and leads interactive and hands‑on activities and programs for adults; guides other staff in the development of original programs.
• Research, contacts, and negotiates with outside program presenters.
• Cooperates with other departments and staff as appropriate; serves as one of the programming committee liaisons for the Adult Department; works closely with other departments to formulate suggestions for improvements to programming in the library; collaborates on promotion of the library’s program offerings.

Master’s degree in library science

$46,824 minimum - $62,431 midpoint - $78,039 maximum; offers are generally made within the minimum to the midpoint range depending on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
