Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 1st Grade Teacher to join our team at Middletown Prairie Elementary for the school year. We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering academic excellence while creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned with the Illinois Learning Standards.
- Create a positive classroom culture that supports academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Assess student progress and use data to guide instructional decisions.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and support staff to enhance student achievement.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Participate in professional learning opportunities and district initiatives.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Elementary Education endorsement.
- Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum, instructional best practices, and child development.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to building positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
