Aspiring Teacher
The Aspiring Teacher continues to learn and understand the central concepts, methods of inquiry, and structures of disciplines to create learning experiences that make the content meaningful to all students. The Aspiring Teacher assists in providing an educational atmosphere conducive to learning where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and/or psychological growth.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board's strategic plan. Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Weekly meetings with MCL
* to determine focus for the week. Analyze grade level data from formative and summative assessments. Participate in weekly grade level(content area) meetings/PLC meetings Reflect with MCL
* from performed classroom observations. Submit lesson plan s to MCL*. Lead small group/intervention lessons Create and maintain a safe learning environment. Participate in student goal setting as well as their own goal setting. Support first level of behavior intervention with students in their own classroom. Uses a variety of explanations and multiple representations of concepts that capture key ideas to help students develop conceptual understanding.
Proactively communicate with parents and other stakeholders Provide differentiated instruction to students in all content area.
Must be in the final year of an accredited teacher prep program Superior collaboration skills and professionalism; dedication to team goals and success, including the ability to effectively partner with team members to achieve priority goals and a willingness and commitment to support other team members' initiatives as needed. Must have the ability to connect to a diverse student population. Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel.
Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
