Take your skills as a Special Education Teacher to the next level by supporting students in structured, nurturing environments. This contract opportunity, conveniently located in the Romeoville, IL area, involves positions at both the elementary and middle school levels, each tailored to meet distinct learning needs.

At the elementary level, you'll work in a self-contained Structured Teaching and Learning Room (STLR) dedicated to students with Autism and functional communication goals. Caseloads are manageable, with no more than 10-13 students, allowing for deep, individualized impact.

At the middle school, you'll partner as a co-teacher in a Supported Education classroom, working collaboratively to foster academic and personal growth for a caseload of up to 13 students.

What you bring:

• Valid certification in Special Education
• Previous experience supporting students with Autism and/or functional communication needs
• Confidence in creating and adapting IEPs to suit individual learning profiles
• Commitment to inclusive education and differentiated instruction
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for team-based teaching

In this role, your responsibilities include:

• Developing, monitoring, and implementing IEPs aligned with student needs
• Providing direct instruction and academic support across varied subjects
• Cultivating a respectful, positive classroom environment to promote engagement
• Collaborating with school teams, related service providers, and families
• Collecting data and adjusting strategies for student growth

This is a full-time, on-site contract position with a focus on hands-on teaching (no virtual instruction at this time). You'll become a key advocate for learners who benefit most from individualized attention and a structured environment.
