We are seeking a Dean of School Culture to join our leadership team and help create a safe, structured, joyful school community in which every scholar can thrive.
The RoleThe Dean of School Culture is a mission-critical leader who:
- Leads the development and implementation of school wide culture, behavior, and character systems.
- Maintains a visible presence throughout the school day and responds effectively to scholar behavioral and social-emotional needs.
- Coaches teachers and staff in establishing strong classroom culture, reinforcing expectations, and responding consistently to behavior.
- Uses behavior, attendance, and school culture data to identify trends, monitor progress, and develop responsive interventions.
- Partners with scholars, families, and staff to address concerns, repair harm, and build trusting relationships.
- Oversees disciplinary processes and documentation while ensuring compliance with school policies and legal requirements.
- Collaborates with school leaders and support staff to develop individualized plans for scholars requiring additional behavioral or social-emotional support.
- Plans and leads school wide celebrations, incentives, and traditions that strengthen belonging, joy, and scholar achievement.
- Experience working with children in a school, youth development, counseling, or related setting.
- Demonstrated success leading others and building a positive, achievement-oriented culture.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm, consistent, and solution-focused in challenging situations.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
