Special Education Teacher

Make a lasting impact in the lives of Kindergarten school students by stepping into a Special Education Teacher role for the full school year. This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to work alongside a collaborative team in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

In this role, you’ll provide instruction in a self-contained classroom settings, supporting a diverse caseload of students with varying learning needs. We’re seeking dedicated educators with an LBS1 certification who are passionate about helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

• Active Illinois Special Education Teaching certification with LBS1 endorsement required
• Experience in self-contained environments preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to student-centered learning and engagement
• Ability to design and adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs

• Deliver instruction in both co-taught and self-contained classroom settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and lesson plans
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture with differentiated instruction
• Develop and manage IEPs, progress monitoring, and required documentation
• Implement effective classroom management strategies
• Partner with families, school staff, and support teams to promote student success
