Circuit Design & Development

  • Design analog, digital, and mixed‑signal circuits tailored to Collins system requirements.
  • Develop schematics, perform component selection, and execute detailed design reviews.
  • Create simulation models and run SPICE or equivalent analyses for signal integrity, power integrity, thermal performance, and noise.
Testing & Validation
  • Develop test plans, perform bench testing, and document results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve circuit‑level issues during prototype build, integration, and qualification stages.
  • Support environmental, EMI/EMC, DO‑254, and reliability testing as required for aerospace systems.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Create and maintain engineering documentation including schematics, BOMs, design notes, and verification reports.
  • Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards (e.g., DO‑160, DO‑254, IPC, MIL‑STD as required).
  • Participate in internal and customer design reviews and ensure traceability to system requirements.
Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Support
  • Work collaboratively with systems, software, PCB layout, and manufacturing engineering teams.
  • Provide circuit‑level technical guidance during production builds, supplier discussions, and root‑cause investigations.
  • Support program schedules, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives for the Collins JD Program.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 10 - 15 years of experience in analog/digital circuit design (level adjustable).
  • Proficiency with schematic capture and simulation tools (Altium, OrCAD, LTspice, PSpice, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of power electronics, signal conditioning, microcontrollers, sensors, and communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN, RS‑485, etc.).
  • Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies).
