Project Manager, Operations Manager

We’re seeking a Project Manager for a growing manufacturer of engineered capital equipment in the Greater Rockford IL area. In this role, you will serve as the central communication hub between customers, installation contractors, engineering, manufacturing, and internal teams throughout the full project lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and enjoys keeping complex projects on track.

• Manage and coordinate up to 20+ active projects simultaneously
• Lead preparation and scheduling of submittal packages with Application Engineering, Estimating, Manufacturing, and Engineering
• Review and transmit documentation to customers and consulting engineers
• Maintain accurate ship dates through consistent follow-up with customers and production
• Coordinate responses to technical and project-related questions
• Resolve field issues post-shipment through the warranty period
• Work with Customer Service on missing or damaged items
• Review customer purchase orders for completeness and alignment with project scope and costing
• Coordinate field service scheduling with customers and internal teams
• Assist Accounting with project closure, including final payments and back charge resolution
• Support contract negotiations related to technical and scheduling matters
• Review post-shipment costs and report variances between estimate and actuals

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant project management or engineering coordination experience (or equivalent experience)
• Familiarity with wastewater or related industrial equipment is a strong plus
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, production, and customers

This is a high-visibility position where you’ll play a key role in keeping projects aligned, customers informed, and teams working efficiently from kickoff through final closeout.
