Kelly Engineering seeks a skilled Field Service Technician to join our client's team. In this role, the Service Technician installs, commissions, troubleshoots, and repairs the company's machines at client sites.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Install, commission, and service cutting-edge CNC machine tools, control systems, and associated equipment at customer locations around the globe.

+ Interpret complex electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication schematics to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

+ Perform precise geometrical leveling, alignment, and calibration using laser measurement tools to ensure optimal machine accuracy.

+ Troubleshoot and repair major mechanical components such as spindles, gearboxes, drive systems, and ball screws.

+ Configure and troubleshoot advanced axis control systems, tool changers, and automation features like TRAORI.

+ Conduct acceptance tests, workforce training, and provide ongoing technical support to customer teams.

+ Collaborate with engineering and service leadership by sharing feedback for product improvement and system reliability.

+ Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, repairs, and recommendations.

* Required Skills:

*
* + 5+ years of hands-on experience servicing industrial machine tools or similar capital equipment.

+ Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system troubleshooting skills.

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.

+ Proficiency with diagnostic software, laptops, and field service tools.

+ Excellent problem-solving and customer communication skills.

+ Able to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and operate in industrial environments.

+ Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including internationally on occasion, with a valid passport.

Experience with 5-axis machining, including setup and TRAORI configuration.

+ Knowledge of laser alignment systems for geometry and straightness measurements.

+ Additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, or control systems.

Education and Experience:

* + High school diploma or GED required.

+ Technical degree, military technical training, or apprenticeship in engineering, electronics, or machinery preferred.

** Other Requirements:*
* + Ability to work mostly first-shift hours with overtime

+ Capable of working in diverse industrial settings, often at heights or in confined spaces.
