Overview
Position:
Product Design Definition Engineer – Collins Aerospace (RTX).
Location:
Rockford, IL. Work type:
Hybrid. Citizenship requirement: U.S. citizen. Security clearance:
None.
- Perform build up and tolerance analyses for assemblies.
- Check drawings for accuracy and compliance to company and industry standards.
- Create solid model piece parts and housings in NX.
- Create assemblies and layouts in NX.
- Create dimensioned detail component drawings.
- Investigate and improve current product design issues in collaboration with engineering.
- Execute Collins Standard Work using Design Standard Features and Design Guidebook.
- Resolve current product design issues.
- Collaborate with multinational design teams worldwide.
- Perform technical work within Teamcenter PLM environment.
- Contribute to product and process continuous improvement activities.
- Commit to and meet program deadlines and regularly status the team on task performance and completion.
Must have:
- Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Minimum 2 years of prior relevant engineering experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
- Experience with design/modeling.
- Experience with GD&T.
Preferred:
- Experience with Siemens NX or a similar CAD modeling tool.
- Knowledge of industry design documentation standards.
- Experience with Model-Based Definition.

Salary Range68,900 USD – 131,100 USD.
