Siemens PCS7 Area Lead – Pharmaceutical Expansion (Design Phase)

We are supporting a large-scale pharmaceutical expansion currently in the detailed design phase and are seeking an experienced Siemens PCS7 Area Lead to join the Automation Program team.

This is a key technical leadership role where you will act as the automation owner for a defined process area, driving control system design, standards alignment, and integration strategy across a complex, highly regulated project.

• Act as the Siemens PCS7 Area Lead, owning automation scope for a defined manufacturing/process area
• Define and drive the PCS7 automation strategy, architecture, and standards for your area
• Lead development of Functional Design Specifications (FDS) and control strategies aligned with S88 principles
• Collaborate with system integrators on detailed design, configuration, and testing of PCS7 systems
• Review and interpret P&IDs to ensure accurate control system implementation
• Oversee integration of skidded/OEM equipment into the PCS7 DCS environment
• Ensure consistency and compliance with automation program standards and GMP requirements
• Support CSV deliverables including alarm rationalization, testing strategies, and documentation review
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs, and cross-functional workshops
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure scalable, maintainable system design
• Coordinate across process, CQV, and engineering teams to align design with downstream commissioning and qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical automation experience (API, biologics, or bulk manufacturing preferred)
• Strong expertise with Siemens PCS7 / DCS systems in a design and/or delivery environment
• Proven experience in a technical leadership or area lead role on large capital projects
• Solid understanding of S88 batch control principles and structured automation design
• Strong knowledge of GMP and Computer System Validation (CSV) requirements
• Experience integrating OEM/skid-based equipment into a central DCS platform
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills

• Experience working on large-scale greenfield or expansion pharmaceutical programs
• Familiarity with modular/skid integration and multi-area automation architecture
• Exposure to commissioning and qualification (CQV) phases and turnover requirements
• Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed project environments
