* Job Summary:

The Test Equipment Engineer is a key member of a cross-disciplinary team driving the design, development and testing, and integration of aircraft high-lift actuation and flight control components and systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test plans and procedures to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, regulatory standards, and customer requirements. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams-including design, systems, and manufacturing engineering-you will analyze test data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of test methods and product quality.

Essential Job Functions:

- Create and implement Acceptance Test Procedures for products based on product requirements and customer specifications

- Provide technical expertise to cross-functional teams and ensure compliance with aerospace standards defined in RTCA DO-160 and DO-178C.

- Drive innovation and collaboration with stakeholders to deliver high-performance systems and components that meet safety, regulatory, and customer-critical requirements.

- Assist in estimating resources required to complete projects including labor, materials, necessary skills and duration. Provide testability input to new product designs and guidance in the completion of qualification programs to ensure that goals and objectives are met.

- Develop test plans, write acceptance and qualification test procedures, conduct tests and generate test reports.

- Design and document both manual and automated test equipment to support engineering development and production (manufacturing) for new and existing programs.

- Provide guidance on system electrical design and software development to multidisciplinary teams.

- Oversee testing, simulation, and validation processes to ensure systems meet safety, performance, and reliability standards.

- Ensures work complies with company policies and processes.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position and occasionally move about the office and laboratory. Constantly operates and uses a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copier/printer and laboratory machinery. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information.

The ability to observe, identify and assess details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds across the office for various needs.

Work Environment:

The work environment is split between office & laboratory work, with most work being performed in the office. The noise level in the office is typically quiet while the noise level in the lab can occasionally require hearing protection.

Experience in relevant Business sector:

Experience in the aerospace industry a plus but not required.

Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electrical engineering.

- Minimum of 10 years' experience in aerospace and test engineering.
