Are you an engineer who thrives at the intersection of design precision and manufacturing execution? A confidential employer in Rockford, Illinois, is expanding its advanced technology team and needs a Senior Applications Engineer to drive metal injection molding innovations. This isn't just a desk job—you'll own the full lifecycle from concept to production, seeing your work become reality on the factory floor.
In this role, you will be the technical linchpin for new products, shaping component designs and quoting manufacturing processes that directly impact revenue and profitability. You'll guide prototypes through engineering builds, collaborate with customers to refine their visions, and champion quality standards through APQP milestones. Your designs will power industries ranging from automotive to consumer goods, and your decisions will influence capital investments, tooling, and scalability.
The ideal candidate brings a proven background in MIM or powdered metals, comfortable discussing gate placement and feedstock selection with customers while also diving deep into CAD models to tweak geometries for manufacturability. You communicate engineering rationale clearly, whether with a skeptical client or a production supervisor. You're self-directed but collaborative, and you see a problem not as a roadblock but as a design challenge to solve.
This is your chance to join a company that is investing in growth, not maintenance. With competitive pay, a 10% bonus, relocation support, and a seat on a team that values your technical voice, this role is designed for impact. If you're ready to take ownership of cutting-edge MIM applications and see your ideas through to shipment, apply today. Relocate to Rockford—a city with a rich manufacturing heritage—and make your mark.
