Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is responsible for all engineering and technical disciplines that the project involves. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. A Project Engineer oversees planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to a schedule.

Their duties include upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans and adjusting specifications for elements of a project. This role is an active and fast-paced role that supports the company's quality policies and objectives. This role will efficiently produce parts to specification ensuring customer satisfaction, while reducing costs of re-work, scrap, and returned products. You'll keep busy in a fast-paced production environment while expanding your knowledge through on-the-job training as you contribute towards crafting quality products.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor design team
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to aid technical support
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions

Requirements and skills:

  • Proven working experience as a Project Engineer
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD & Solid Works
  • Excellent knowledge and utilization of ERP.
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
  • Must have a Mechanical background
  • Maintain departmental 5S housekeeping standards

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required
  • 2 + years Mechanical Manufacturing experience required
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to ensure clarification and meet specific requirements in a timely manner.
  • Delegate tasks to team members according to their individual skill sets, experience and abilities to ensure efficient completion of the project.
  • Maintain budgets and adjust according to needs as they arise.
  • Track performance and analyze the completion of key goals.
  • Document and report project progress to collaborators and clients.
  • Skills:

    Must be able to demonstrate basic measuring/mechanical skills pertaining to fulfill job duties

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, lift and/or move up to 30 lbs, bend, use hands, and fingers for 8 + hours. (Overtime may be required)
