EMC Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced EMC Test Engineer to conduct Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing for Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) in our lab. As the design phase is already complete, the primary focus will be on testing and validation. While design experience is a plus for providing insights in case of test failures, it is not a requirement. The ideal candidate will be an expert in EMC testing procedures and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct EMC testing for VFDs in the Danfoss Lab.
• Travel occasionally to external labs in Milwaukee and the UL lab in Northbrook, accompanied by a Power Engineer.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and provide insights into potential solutions for failed tests.
• Ensure all EMC testing is completed by the end of the year.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure compliance with EMC standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in EMC testing.
• Expertise in EMC testing procedures and industry standards.
• Ability to analyze test failures and suggest possible design improvements.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for testing purposes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
