Constellation Energy seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to develop safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical designs for power generation, distribution, and renewable projects within the Energy & Utilities sector. In this Engineering & Design role, you will perform load flow, short-circuit, and protection studies; prepare single-line diagrams, equipment specifications, and construction documents; and ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and utility standards. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, support commissioning and field issue resolution, and contribute to innovative, sustainable energy solutions in a dynamic, growth-focused culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop electrical designs for power generation, transmission, and distribution projects in the energy and utilities sector
- Produce calculations, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment specifications
- Perform power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, and protection coordination
- Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, and utility standards and support permitting and interconnection
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, construction, and operations teams
- Support commissioning, troubleshooting, and field design modifications as needed
- Contribute to renewable and grid-modernization initiatives aligned with sustainability goals
- Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and review vendor submittals
