Constellation Energy seeks an I&C Electrical Engineer for our Engineering & Design team in the Energy & Utilities sector. You will design, implement, and maintain instrumentation, control, and electrical systems for generation and grid assets, supporting reliability, safety, and compliance. Responsibilities include developing drawings and specifications, performing power and control calculations, supporting commissioning and troubleshooting, and integrating digital control/SCADA systems. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions while mentoring junior staff and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and fleet-wide standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and specify I&C and electrical systems for generation and grid assets
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
- Perform load, short-circuit, and protection coordination calculations
- Configure and integrate DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems
- Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of field equipment
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NERC, and utility standards
- Prepare technical reports, calculations, and engineering documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects and upgrades
- Support root cause analysis and reliability improvements
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers
