Office Coordinator - 30025

The Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) is seeking an Office Coordinator to work in the Gaming Field Operations Division.

IGB serves as the regulatory body for all gambling activities across the state of Illinois, administering a regulatory and tax collection system for casino gambling, video gaming, and sports wagering. The Office Coordinator will provide technical, secretarial, and office support to enable efficient casino operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Under direction, performs technical, secretarial, and office support functions for the Gaming Unit Supervisor.
Utilizes a variety of computer applications to perform necessary support functions relative to casino operations, including completion of reports and ensuring gaming operations/processes flow accordingly.
Serves as a training coordinator for the casino’s new gaming agents.
Processes travel vouchers for gaming supervisors and gaming agents.
Processes mail, monitors and tracks inventory of equipment and supplies, and establishes and maintains filing systems.
Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of secretarial/business college OR Completion of high school and two (2) years of related office experience OR Two (2) years of independent business experience.
Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 30 WPM.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

Pass Illinois Gaming Board’s background investigation (background check).

Must comply with the State Officials and Employees Ethics Act regarding ownership interests in public companies and gaming licenses.

Must comply with the Illinois Gambling Act prohibiting employment or financial interest in gambling operators or related entities.

Must not have been employed or received compensation or fees from a person or entity that has engaged in business with the Board within the year immediately preceding employment.

Must comply with revolving door restrictions; must notify the Office of the Executive Inspector General for the Agencies of the Illinois Governor (OEIG) before accepting non-State employment within one year after ending State employment.
