The Rockford Symphony Orchestra is looking for an Assistant Principal Violin II, with auditions scheduled for November 11, 2026, at the Coronado Theatre. Interested candidates should apply by October 21, 2026. The orchestra is located about 1½ hours from downtown Chicago and provides approximately 35 services each season.
The compensation for this position is $112.50 per service, with an additional travel stipend of $0.21 per mile for musicians residing more than 30 miles from any RSO venue, capped at $55 per service. Employment is set to begin in January 2027. All applicants must be eligible to work in the United States on the audition date.
