At Midland States Bank, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of short‑term incentives (bonus and/or commission) and may include long‑term incentives (stock awards). Provides customer service, processes both business and individual banking transactions; manages a cash drawer, cross‑sells bank services, and delivers comprehensive, prompt, and efficient customer transactions.

• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts, review endorsements, and examine checks for possible fraud, including holds.
• Examine cash to guard against counterfeit bills.
• Cash checks for customers in accordance with bank policy and record transactions in the computer system.
• Assist customers with transactions and ATM operations.
• Balance cash drawer throughout the day to reduce and eliminate teller differences.
• Understand basic deposit and lending products & services; identify correct product types through needs‑based questioning and build customer relationships.
• Refer products and services to appropriate business partners, assist customers on electronic services, and enter opportunities into the customer information software.
• Serve as relief and/or backup teller in other Midland States Bank locations.
• Complete all assigned learning activities and actively participate in weekly huddles and one‑on‑one coaching sessions.
• Demonstrate Midland States Bank core values and participate in bank‑sponsored community activities.
• Travel occasionally for training and team meetings and cooperate with travel to market locations when required.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum education:
  
  High School Diploma.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift and transport coin and currency bags weighing 25‑50 lbs.
