Our client is seeking a hands‑on global Controller to lead accounting operations across the Americas, Europe and Asia within a private equity‑backed manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the global close process, financial reporting, statutory audits, tax coordination and compliance while driving consistency, scalability and operational excellence across regional teams and shared services.
Reporting to senior leadership, the global Controller will serve as a key business partner, providing actionable financial insights, supporting M&A integration activities and strengthening the company's financial infrastructure in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment. This individual will lead and develop international accounting teams, enhance processes and controls and build a disciplined, high‑performing finance function aligned with the organization's strategic growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead global accounting operations and provide oversight for regional accounting teams across multiple geographies.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual close processes, including consolidations and financial reporting.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial statements and management reporting.
- Manage statutory audits, regulatory compliance activities and global tax coordination efforts.
- Develop and implement scalable accounting processes, internal controls and reporting infrastructure.
- Support acquisitions and integration efforts, including process alignment, financial reporting and operational transition activities.
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial analysis, business insights and decision support.
- Maintain hands‑on involvement in complex accounting, reporting and compliance matters.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, consistency and financial visibility across the organization.
- Lead, mentor and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability and performance.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field required.
- 15 or more years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Strong background in manufacturing environments with deep expertise in cost accounting and inventory management.
- Experience leading global accounting functions, multi‑entity consolidations and international teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial close, reporting, audits, compliance and internal controls.
- Ability to operate effectively at both the strategic and operational levels in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience with in private equity‑backed, carve‑out or high‑growth organizations preferred.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Global accounting leadership across complex, multi‑entity organizations.
- Deep expertise in manufacturing accounting, cost accounting and inventory management.
- Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and audit capabilities.
- Proven ability to build scalable processes, controls and financial infrastructure.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, integrations and post‑carve‑out transformations.
- Hands‑on leadership style combined with strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Ability to align and influence teams across multiple regions and cultures.
- Trusted business partner to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
