Role Overview
This part‑time role, usually 30 hours per week, focuses on delivering exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. The individual identifies customer needs, provides advice on financial solutions, and works collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to enhance the customer experience and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Welcomes and guides customers entering the branch lobby, offering advice on digital and self‑serve options to simplify banking.
- Act as a lobby leader, conducting client conversations about banking services and recommending alternative channels and personal banking or investment advice.
- Meet transaction‑based customer needs with seamless execution and review customer profiles to identify potential opportunities.
- Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, customer applications, filing, and opening/closing activities.
- Integrate marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice and grow customer relationships.
- Organize work information for accuracy and completeness, and propose creative approaches to personalize customer experiences.
- Track and report suspicious activity related to money laundering and comply with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
- Maintain knowledge of personal banking products and industry trends to support customer conversations.
- Analyze issues, determine next steps, and escalates as required while following risk and compliance processes.
- Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- For Canada only:
Registration to sell investment products completed or in progress within 12 months, as appropriate for the jurisdiction. - Comfortable and experienced in using social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
- Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions for referral to specialists.
- Assertive, customer‑focused, with a drive to deliver a personal customer experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
- Aptitude for listening, problem‑solving, and responding creatively to new challenges.

Salary: $41,714 – $50,500 per year (salaried; pro‑rated for part‑time roles). The range may vary by location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications. Commission structures may apply. Additional compensation includes performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks and rewards.
