Commercial Portfolio Analyst

• Support commercial lending teams through ongoing credit administration
• Track, calculate, and assess financial covenant compliance
• Monitor collateral margining and identify potential credit deterioration
• Adhere to BMO credit policies, regulatory standards, and operational guidelines
• Apply accounting principles and analyze financial statements to support credit analysis and underwriting
• Understand and administer commercial loan agreement provisions, including repayment terms, financial covenants, collateral, and amendments
• Analyze financial information, tax returns, credit bureau reports, and related documentation to support credit decisions
• Perform covenant compliance and collateral margining calculations for an assigned portfolio
• Make policy-compliant credit decisions and recommendations
• Perform financial calculations accurately with limited supervision
• Identify process improvements and propose practical solutions
• Assume additional responsibilities to support team and business objectives

• Preferred 2–3 years of relevant experience in credit, lending or financial operations in a corporate or banking environment
• BMO Credit Qualification within one year of assignment
• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred
• Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience
• Foundational proficiency in problem solving, collaboration, detail orientation, customer service, and data-driven decision making
• Intermediate proficiency in financial analysis, data analysis tools, portfolio management, credit risk assessment, and Microsoft Office

Demonstrates expertise in credit administration, financial analysis, and compliance with regulatory standards. Proficient in analyzing financial statements and making informed credit decisions while supporting commercial lending teams.
