Full Time Medical Assistant, MA – located in Rockford, IL.

  • Tues & Wed: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • 30-minute lunch
• Be the One Who Opens the Clinic – Start the day strong by getting the clinic ready and setting the tone for patient care
• Dynamic Dual Role – Combine Medical Assistant + Phlebotomy with a hands‑on mix of front desk, clinical care, and biometrics

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintain patient health records to ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records
• Prepare treatment rooms, clean and sterilize instruments
• Medication administration including injections, perform laboratory tests, operate EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Perform administrative tasks, assist at the front desk, schedule appointments, make follow‑up calls, and order medical supplies
• Perform other duties as assigned

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands‑on externship completed and passed—total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location and other factors.
