Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Transformations Counseling PLLC is seeking a full-time therapist at our Rockford location. This is a W2 employee position requiring 25 client hours per week . Transformations Counseling PLLC is about helping clients achieve Best Self - Better Relationships - Balanced Life. Our mission is to help individuals, children, couples, and families overcome the impact of overwhelming emotions and behaviors through different therapeutic services and programs.

In this role, you will work directly with clients through face-to-face sessions and online sessions.

Mental Health Therapist

• 1-3 years of work experience in a related field preferred.
• Performs diagnostic assessments of clients
• Be willing to work a minimum of 2 evenings a week, and 2 Saturdays a month
• Performs individual therapy, group therapy, clinical consultation, and family therapy, ensuring the clinical requirements of individual treatment plans are met.
• Prepares and maintains current and accurate case notes, staffing, and therapy reports.
• Maintains knowledge of current trends in the field.
• Attends appropriate training programs.
• Aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
• Comfortable diagnosing, developing a treatment plan, and carrying out evidence-based interventions with clients experiencing a variety of mental health issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative and committed to building a positive work environment.
• Comfort and experience using secure online platforms for video-based clients.
• Experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults.
• Have knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), or EMDR Therapy.

• Minimum of a Master’s Degree and ability to be licensed in Illinois in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related human services field.
• Valid driver's license.
• LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, and LPC preferred.
• Background check required.
• Professional Liability insurance is provided by the practice.
• Must be in good standing with the Illinois licensing board.

• We offer a
  guaranteed base salary of $35,000 along with a
  competitive percentage split of the revenue you generate through client sessions. Most full-time therapists at our practice earn an average of$72,800 - $80,000 per year
  , with opportunities for even higher earnings based on client load and availability.

• This position begins in-person for the first 90 days to support training, team integration, and clinical consistency. Hybrid scheduling may be considered after 90 days based on demonstrated competency, reliability, and ability to work independently without ongoing supervision needs.
