Manager- Guidewire; Java Development

Job Description

Warrior Insurance Network is on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Manager to lead our Guidewire (Java) Development Team. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a crucial role in driving the development and implementation of Guidewire solutions that support our business objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage a team of Guidewire (Java) Developers, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality software solutions
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and prioritize development projects
• Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from design to deployment, ensuring adherence to industry best practices
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and efficiency within the team
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Guidewire products and stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
• Ensure the team’s alignment with the company’s strategic goals and contribute to the overall success of the IT department

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED:

• Proven experience in managing Java development teams, preferably with Guidewire (Insurance Now) experience. Duck Creek, Majesco, or Socotra experience could be used as well
• Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance is a plus
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving set objectives
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders
• A solid technical background with an understanding of software development processes and methodologies
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a keen eye for detail and problem‑solving skills
