Program Summary
Our customer, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), provides Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to the Department of War (DoW) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA‑provided capabilities and services in our 24x7 AISR Operation Support Cell (OSC), often working in tandem with our Transport, IP, SATCOM, and/or Unified Capabilities (UC) NOCs.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead daily contractor operations and serve as the primary point of contact for assigned tasks, staffing, and performance management.
- Ensure compliance with AISR documentation, DoW policies, DISA guidance, local TTPs, and Watch Officer procedures.
- Represent the AISR OSC in meetings and working groups, assessing operational impacts of proposed changes and initiatives.
- Serve as liaison with the DISA AISR PMO to maintain awareness of operational requirements and priorities.
- Oversee network operations supporting customer programs across the DISA Enterprise Network.
- Analyze requirements, system architectures, and operational issues to resolve network outages and service disruptions.
- Provide technical guidance and communicate network‑related issues and solutions to customers and senior leadership.
- Monitor network performance, verify system configurations, and respond to alarms and incidents.
- Utilize ticketing systems to track, manage, and resolve customer issues.
- Manage program execution, team performance, and contract deliverables to meet mission objectives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and configuration management records.
- Identify process improvements and recommend solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.
- Assign and supervise contractor personnel while ensuring successful execution of technical and operational tasks.
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. 2+ years of experience leading teams, projects, or technical operations.
- Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
- Understanding of AISR architecture and signal flow.
- Working knowledge of transport and IP network topologies.
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.
- Experience supporting DISA operations, network management, or communications infrastructure.
- Prior experience leading contractor teams in a government or Department of Defense environment.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) tools, incident management processes, and operational reporting.
- Experience briefing senior government officials and executive‑level stakeholders.
- Knowledge of network monitoring, performance management, and configuration management best practices.
