EDI Analyst; W2

Contract Length: 4 1/2 months with goal of extension

W2 Only, we are unable to work C2C or 1099

Target Rate: $65 but may be flexible for the right candidate

We are seeking a Healthcare EDI Systems Analyst to support and optimize healthcare Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transactions. This individual will ensure the secure, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant exchange of healthcare data between providers, payers, clearinghouses, government agencies, and third-party vendors.

You'll work closely with business users, healthcare operations, application teams, and external trading partners to support critical healthcare transactions and improve EDI processes.

• EDI Operations
• Monitor daily healthcare EDI transaction processing
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI transaction failures
• Support inbound and outbound transaction processing
• Manage acknowledgements and transaction reconciliation
• Coordinate issue resolution with providers, payers, and clearinghouses
• Support production systems with minimal business disruption

You'll support many of the standard HIPAA X12 transactions, including:

• 270/271 – Eligibility Verification
• 278 – Prior Authorization
• 835 – Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA)
• 999, TA1, 277CA – Transaction Acknowledgements

• Analyze business requirements and recommend EDI solutions
• Develop and maintain EDI maps and workflows
• Support integrations between EDI platforms and healthcare applications
• Configure secure communications (AS2, SFTP, HTTPS, APIs)
• Create mapping documentation and transformation specifications
• Assist with system upgrades and migrations

• Ensure HIPAA compliance across EDI transactions
• Support CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer requirements
• Participate in audits and security reviews
• Onboard new trading partners
• Coordinate connectivity testing and certifications
• Maintain trading partner relationships and profiles

• Perform root cause analysis of transaction failures
• Create operational reports and dashboards
• Track KPIs and EDI performance metrics

• 3+ years of Healthcare EDI experience
• Experience supporting HIPAA X12 transactions
• Experience with healthcare claims, eligibility, enrollment, and remittance processing
• Experience working with providers, payers, clearinghouses, or healthcare technology organizations
• Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience preferred
