Associate Attorney

Raines Feldman Littrell’s Chicago office is seeking a Wealth Preservation Associate with strong analytical skills, excellent drafting abilities, and a client‑focused mindset to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, proactive, and able to handle sophisticated estate planning and tax matters with accuracy and sound judgment. This client‑facing role offers significant responsibility, mentorship from senior attorneys, and consistent exposure to complex, customized planning for high‑net‑worth clients.

• Prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, advanced directives, and related instruments
• Conduct legal research on estate planning, tax, fiduciary, and trust administration issues
• Advise on wealth transfer, charitable and income‑tax planning, asset protection and business succession matters
• Prepare and review gift and estate tax returns
• Assist with post‑death estate administration, including probate
• Collaborate with corporate, real estate, and litigation teams on cross‑disciplinary planning and dispute‑avoidance matters

• 2–4 years of estate planning, wealth preservation, or tax experience
• Strong understanding of estate and gift tax principles
• Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a deadline‑driven environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable interacting directly with high‑net‑worth clients and family offices
• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys across multiple practice groups
