Chief Advice Officer – Savant Wealth Management
As a key member of Savant’s executive team, the Chief Advice Officer will shape and execute the firm’s integrated advice strategy—ensuring a seamless, high‑impact client experience across all areas of wealth management.
This role leads the alignment of financial planning, wealth transfer, private client services, risk management, investment management, tax planning, and legal support into a cohesive and scalable service model, enhancing advisor effectiveness, elevating client value, and improving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Advice Teams:
- Lead and coordinate across functional advice teams to ensure integration of strategic initiatives.
- Coach a high‑performing team, fostering culture, setting expectations, and ensuring accountability.
- Develop and execute the strategic plan for wealth advice services in alignment with firm goals.
- Integrate wealth advice functions to provide a one‑stop, segmented client experience.
- Drive innovation in service delivery using technology and industry best practices.
- Maintain cost‑effective operations while maximizing value to clients and advisors.
- Implement process improvements for scalability and efficiency.
- Monitor performance metrics and ensure effective execution of initiatives.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and internal standards are met.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with wealth advice services.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders for an integrated approach.
- Client and Advisor Engagement:
- Develop and implement engagement strategies across all offices.
- Measure utilization of resources, processes, and specialists to optimize adoption.
- Recommend technology and tools that enhance advisor‑client engagement.
- Advocate for advisors, addressing concerns and ensuring support.
- Communicate consistently with advisory teams to stay abreast of needs.
- Standardize client and advisor experiences across regions and teams.
- Provide insights to improve satisfaction and retention.
- Collaborate with corporate communications to develop key messages.
- Unified Advice Platform:
- Lead development and delivery of a differentiated integrated platform.
- Partner with advisory, specialist teams, technology, and training resources.
- Ensure the platform delivers comprehensive, proactive advice efficiently.
- Design a scalable, technology‑forward model for responsive, tailored advice.
- Maintain consistent and scalable client experiences across the firm.
- Embed client segmentation and provide metrics for accountability.
- Leadership:
- Collaborate with Head of Wealth, CEO, and key leaders to drive goals.
- Promote brand values and culture in all interactions.
- Participate on the Executive Leadership Team and Operating Committee.
- Represent Savant at industry events and media engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of wealth‑management experience focused on planning or related area.
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role managing multiple wealth‑management functions.
- Knowledge of best practices for wealth‑management teams and firms.
- Team player with a can‑do attitude, flexibility, and a growth mindset.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Proficiency with financial‑planning software, CRM systems, and industry tools (Salesforce, Tamarac, MS Office, Money Guide, eMoney).
- Strong strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance related to wealth management services.
- Advanced degrees or designations (MBA, JD, CFP®, CPA).
- Experience in a multi‑state, multi‑office environment.
- Experience overseeing investment‑management functions.
- Proven ability to drive cost‑effective solutions while enhancing service delivery.
- Strong understanding of the financial‑advisory landscape and client needs.
