The position is based in our East Peoria, Illinois offices with the opportunity to work in a hybrid fashion.

• Develop transportation strategy by collaborating with the executive team to outline and execute the firm’s transportation plan, ensuring alignment with organizational values and mission.
• Lead the development of comprehensive strategies for advancing transportation projects and services.
• Build and maintain client relationships with local agencies, existing clients and potential target clients, to understand their transportation project needs and secure new opportunities.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, the organization, and regulatory bodies such as the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to advance simple and complex transportation projects.
• Oversee project leadership and management, ensuring that projects meet client expectations, industry standards and internal quality benchmarks.
• Recruit, mentor and develop the transportation design team.
• Perform financial oversight by monitoring project budgets, resources and financial performance to ensure successful and profitable completion.
• Contribute to financial planning for the transportation department and assess project feasibility.
• Act as the primary point of contact for transportation projects, facilitating clear communication between clients, project teams, regulatory authorities and other stakeholders.
• Develop new clients and maintain existing clients by establishing personal relationships with key decision makers and influencers.
• Maintain a high‑level understanding of transportation engineering technology trends and advancements.
• Attend community and industry events.
• Research industry trends and share knowledge with the team.
• Maintain client confidentiality of all project work.
