Lead, Composite Repair. Responsible to his or her respective department supervisor for all functions assigned to provide airworthiness of the aircraft upon completion of maintenance at the facility. A Lead Technician is required to be a certified A&P Technician and be a technical resource for all assigned technicians.
What you will be responsible for- Lead and coordinate daily composite repair activities on assigned aircraft or projects.
- Perform hot and/or cold bond repairs per the Aircraft SRM, EAs & other approved documentation.
- Identify damaged components by visual or tapping method.
- Determine proper repair technique and materials required.
- Sand, trim, prime and fit repairs to parts.
- Follow directions for repair sequences, and document complete all necessary forms.
- Understand and observe all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Cleans and removes any foreign objects generated while effecting repairs.
- Records his/her time worked as directed by her/his supervisor.
- Always comply with all safety procedures, without exception.
- Document all work accomplished daily.
- Perform such other tasks as may be reasonably assigned by her/his supervisor.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Minimum five years’ experience working in composite repairs on commercial aircraft.
- Personally responsible, completes work in a timely manner, and performs tasks accurately.
- Must maintain a positive attitude and strong work energy.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to change.
- Make constructive suggestions and create novel solutions to problems and evaluate new technology as potential solutions to existing problems.
- Must have the ability to carry out and follow through on tasks with minimal supervision.

CompensationThe anticipated salary range for this position is $27.15 to $33.68 hourly. This range reflects the base pay for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location. AAR offers a competitive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision/life/and AD&D insurance, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, paid time off and holiday pay, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
