Currently, Staff Bright has a great opportunity with a growing manufacturing organization in the Rockford, IL area. We’re seeking a hands‑on 2nd Shift Production Supervisor who enjoys leading from the floor, developing employees, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. 2nd shift is from 2:30 pm - 11 pm

What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead daily 2nd shift production operations while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals are achieved
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and accountability to production team members
  • Drive employee development through training, performance management, and ongoing feedback
  • Monitor key production metrics and make data‑driven decisions to improve operational performance
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and partner with cross‑functional teams to minimize downtime
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives and implement process enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality requirements
  • Maintain a strong presence on the production floor and support employees through a hands‑on leadership approach
What We Need From You
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience with a degree, or 4 years without a degree
  • Proven experience coaching employees, managing performance, and holding teams accountable
  • Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently
  • Experience leading teams within a high‑speed manufacturing environment
  • Continuous improvement experience with demonstrated results
  • Prior experience working in an off‑shift leadership role
  • Hands‑on leadership style with a willingness to be actively engaged on the production floor
  • ERP system experience such as SAP or Infor
