Bakery Lead Fresh Bakery

Position Summary

As a Bakery Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Bakery and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

• Supervise the bakery team to deliver on the business plan, communicate department goals, execute company programs, and advocate for members, associates, and the company.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, product specifications, and seasonality, ensuring compliance with quality, inventory, equipment, safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
• Leverage digital tools and handheld technology to plan for sales, improve the shopping experience, make production and quality decisions, and encourage adoption of new technologies.
• Drive operational excellence by maintaining a clean, safe work area, planning staffing for weekly volumes, ensuring consistency in quality and food safety, and keeping accurate inventory audit and compliance records.
• Teach and train the team by identifying training needs, developing skills, encouraging career growth, and sourcing new talent internally and externally.
• Develop and implement processes to meet business needs, analyze information from multiple sources, monitor results, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote and uphold compliance with company policies, procedures, ethics, and integrity, and assist management in addressing any issues.
• Lead and collaborate with team members, share resources, coordinate assignments, provide advice and feedback, and model adaptability to change.

• 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
• Will successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within the prescribed period if hired.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Experience in bakery production including decorating and supervising associates.
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
