Mechanical Technician – Systems Test Facility (2nd Shift)
Compensation- Level II: Estimated hourly base pay: $26.44 (minimum) – $34.62 (midpoint) – $42.31 (maximum)

- Assemble components and systems with increasing complexity.
- Modify and/or repair components under minimal supervision.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues.
- Identify and propose solutions for moderately complex issues with components or systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and implement solutions.
- Conduct moderately complex tests on components and systems with some independence.
- Record and analyze test results and provide preliminary findings to engineering teams.
- Suggest improvements to existing processes or tools based on hands‑on experience.
- Participate in creating or updating process documentation.
- Act as a resource for entry‑level technicians by guiding them on basic tasks and safety procedures.
- Read and interpret moderately complex schematics and drawings independently, with guidance on modifying drawings.
- Understand deployed systems and component operation; apply standard assembly and testing methodologies.
- Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats; present results to internal teams.
- Guide entry‑level technicians and assist with organizing smaller projects.
- Participate in process improvement efforts and suggest ideas to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Solve moderately complex problems using basic troubleshooting techniques; apply Root Cause Analysis with guidance.
- Assemble and modify moderately complex components and systems independently.
- Use measurement devices for data acquisition and analysis; design basic fixturing or rigging equipment.
- Understand mechanical principles and apply them in moderately complex systems; conduct basic testing and data collection.
- Plan and execute moderately complex test strategies with minimal supervision; provide preliminary analysis and feedback.
Moderate physical activity requires agility and dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending; and lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds. Some product lines have heavier lifting requirements due to product type. Ability to stand for the entire shift. Work is performed in an area with moderate risk or discomfort that may require special safety precautions, such as wearing protective clothing or gear.
May be required to pass near‑vision and/or color vision examinations.
- Experience performing assembly and testing of fuel system components in an aerospace industry.
- Proficiency in fabrication techniques.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving abilities.
- A&P License.
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
