Skilled-Quality Lead

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Quality Lead for a direct hire opportunity with a manufacturing client in Rockford, IL. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in quality operations, inspections, and team leadership within a production environment.

Position Title: Quality Lead

Wage: $22.15-$23.00 per hour

Shift: Weekend

Hours: 7:00am-7:00pm (Fri-Sun)

• Lead and support quality team members during assigned shift.
• Perform and oversee product inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Monitor production processes to identify and correct quality issues.
• Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• Communicate quality concerns with supervisors, production teams, and management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality procedures.
• Assist with investigations of defects and identify root causes.
• Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Train team members on quality procedures and best practices.

• Previous experience in a quality, inspection, or manufacturing role.
• Leadership or team lead experience preferred.
• Familiarity with quality standards and inspection processes and measurement tools and basic quality documentation.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
• Experience in fast‑paced production environments.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to identify problems and implement solutions.
• Reliable, safety‑focused, and team‑oriented.
• Comfortable working 12‑hour weekend shifts.
