Ag-Land FS, Inc. is hiring for an agronomy position based in Brimfield, Illinois. If you have experience in ag operations and want to work for a solid, local company, we’d like to talk to you.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Loads and applies crop protection inputs to customers’ fields and grows crops according to recommended rates, procedures, and following all pesticide labels to maximize product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Completes spray/application logs as fields are completed, noting any problems or concerns that arise.
  • Performs routine maintenance on all facility equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, and cleaning of application equipment as recommended in the operator’s manual to maximize equipment reliability and service life.
  • Works with other location employees to maintain location, buildings, equipment, and property to enhance company image.
  • Delivers products to customers as required and assists walk‑in customers.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Adheres to environmental, health, training, and safety policies to prevent accidents or injuries.
  • Maintains the appropriate professional image in accordance with the company uniform policy.
  • Assists with crop scouting as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Previous applicator or related experience and/or training to demonstrate the ability to custom apply fertilizers, crop protection products, and ag lime.
  • Proven professional communication and customer service skills, including the ability to comprehend simple instructions and communicate one‑on‑one and in small groups with customers and other employees.
  • Ability to keep sensitive customer, business, and employee information confidential.
  • Demonstrated time management and basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, as well as the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
  • Proven ability to work independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Understanding of basic computer skills as they relate to custom application business.
  • Demonstrated core competencies, including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a CDL with proper endorsements and a commercial operator’s license from the Department of Agriculture. Must be able to pass a DOT physical and drug test as per F.M.C.S. regulations.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Willing to work beyond normal hours, when required.
  • Ability to lift and carry 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work overhead or under machinery and perform minor equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in weather extremes when necessary.

COMPENSATION

This position offers an estimated range of $18.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, the role may offer bonuses based on company or location performance metrics in accordance with company policies.
