Mechanical Tool Designer​/Drafter III

Key Responsibilities

• 3D model several complex devices and smaller housings.
• Perform intermediate level linear stack‑up studies.
• Work assigned tasks to meet schedule and coordinate details with other departments.

• Ability to understand and apply Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing (GD&T) or an international equivalent at an advanced level.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Advanced CAD/PLM software skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality and professionalism.
• Participation in continuous improvement activities related to the position.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to process multiple types of information and perform multiple tasks simultaneously with competing priorities.
• Effective time management.
• Solid organization and prioritization skills for self and those supported by this position.
• Ability to define, diagnose, and resolve problems and to make timely decisions, sometimes with limited information and under tight deadlines and pressure.
• Ability to assist lower‑level drafters/designers with tasks.
• Ability and willingness to take independent action and complete job tasks with minimal instruction, including recognizing assignments, seeking additional tasks, and helping others.

• Tooling and manufacturing experience.
• Knowledge of ITAR/EAR requirements and ability to obtain necessary authorizations (U.S. Persons or eligible applicants).

Estimated hourly base pay: $31.25 (Minimum) – $40.38 (Midpoint) – $50.00 (Maximum). All members eligible for an annual cash bonus opportunity. 401(k) match (4.5%) and an annual Woodward stock contribution (5%).
